Questions and Answers- Learning how to interview

Topic: School Uniforms

I would interview the school board president, a principal at one of the local schools, and an active member of the school board.

20 Questions:
1. What caused you to think about requiring students to wear uniforms to schools?
2. How strict are the uniform requirements going to be?
3.  Do you believe that uniforms are going to help improve students performance?
4. Do you believe that school uniforms are going to put a financial strain on parents?
5. When do you believe the school uniform rules are going to start?
6. How do you think students are going to react to this idea?
7. Do you believe that by forcing students to wear uniforms you are taking away their "creativity?"
8. How do you think the students' parents are going to react to the new rules?
9. Do you think that uniforms are going to decrease gang activity in schools?
10. What will the punishments be for students that don't follow the uniform rules?
11. Are boys and girls going to wear the same types of uniforms or are girls going to be allowed to wear dresses and skirts?
12.  Are school uniforms going to be easier to enforce rather than a regular school dress code?
13. Is this idea going to be something permanent in the school system?
14. What will happen if the uniforms aren't accomplishing what you wanted them to?
15. How do you think the uniforms are going to affect students?
16. Do you have any alternative ideas besides uniforms?
17. Should the parents be able to decide whether or not their students have to wear uniforms?
18. Are there going to be restrictions on hair color and distracting nail colors?
19. How do you think teachers are going to react about the uniforms?
20. How do you feel about maybe giving the students a "relaxed day" where they only have to wear something school related rather than the strict uniforms?
