Would you like to go to that school? No i would not like to go to the school.
Why would you or would you not like to go to that school? I would not like to go to this school because it does not seem like it is very interesting. It looks like a much smaller school and they don't have very many activities at the school.

Magazine Cover!

Magazine Covers Part II & InDesign Part I

1. Early Magazine Covers-
The early magazine covers usually only had a title and a table of contents. They wanted to model the covers of the magazine after the covers of books. There were no descriptions about what was going to be in the magazine. Sometimes they had symbolic covers to show what kind of magazine it is without giving too much information about what the contents were inside.

2. Poster Covers-
Poster covers were designed to look like they were going to be framed & hung up. In the begininning many Poster Covers had no relation to what was going to be told in the magazine. Many magazines had beautiful photographs & illustrations on the cover. Some big magazines today still use poster covers, although it is rare.

3. Pictures Married to Type-
Pictures married to text have a photo with it's background written across while the main subject of the photo pops out. Cover lines are colorful and bold that way they can draw the audiences attention and compete with other magazines. These types of poster are still being used today and are usually extremely competitive.

4. In the Forest of Words-
In the forest of words magazine cover lines are usually as important as cover art. Cover lines are very vivid and detailed and usually appear in front of the cover model and cover up most of the photograph. Photos are designed a certain way to allow for the many big cover lines.

Happy, Akins, Building Photos

This picture shows Akins because it shows the students and how close the students on our campus are. This picture is very colorful and it shows some of the students personality. This is a good example of my work because the picture came out perfect. It wasn't too dark or too light and everything fit together very well.

This photo helps to show the architecture in the building. The lines on top of the doors make the photo sort of pop out and it helps frame the doors. It really shows how creative the person that built this building was. This is a good example because i made sure that everything was lined up perfectly and i made sure i got all of the architectural look in this photo.

This photo really shows happy because the person in this picture really shows how much the student is enjoying life at school. He is having fun with the photo and it brings out his personality. This is a good photo because it relates to the theme. I did try to adjust ISO and the aperture to make sure that the photo did not come out too dark but the top part of the picture seems really dark. So i could of had a better example of happy.

This photo is very powerful becuase of how the lightening is displayed in this photo. The photographer captured this picture are the right time and it made the sky light up. The way the lighting in this photo is it helps display how bright the lightening is.

 

I like this photo becuase of the way the photographer took the photo from a different viewpoint. It makes it look interesting and you are still able to see all of the city lights and part of the light from the sky which makes it look more dramatic.

This is one of my favorite photos becuase these people are training with this person dressed up in an aminal suit. Its an amusing photo but it also shows how seriously they take there jobs with making sure the animals and people are safe. 

What was the best song of 2011?
In my opinion the best song of 2011 was katy perry's E.T. I love katy perry and all of her music but this song stood out to me the most. I wrote my dance ensemble to this song because there were so many things that i could do with this song. It gave me so many ideas and really inspired me to have a good routine.


What was the best movie of 2011?
My favorite movie of 2011 was Captain America. I went to see that movie with my friends and there was so much action and it was extremely entertaining. I'm not a big movie person at all, so when I can actually sit down and watch an entire movie that means that I really did like it.


What was the most important news story of the year?
The most important news story of the year would have to be the Casey Anthony trial. The trial lasted for so long and so many people were following this case. I couldn't go anywhere without seeing the news turned to CNN and having Casey Anthony being covered 24/7.


Who was the most important person of 2011?
I believe that Steve Jobs was a very important person in 2011. He was mostly known as being the co-founder, chairman, and executive officer of Apple Inc. He helped so many people throughout his life and he was extremely successful. It was very upsetting to hear that he died in 2011 becuase he had so many great ideas that he was able to share with all of us.


What was the biggest sports story of 2011?
One of the biggest stories would of had to been the NBA lockout. Many people were very upset because they were looking forward to the new season. Basketball fans had to wait until Christmas day for the season to start. The lockout eventually ended when the deal was ratified.



1) During my winter break I went with my family to visit my grandparents in McKinney, Texas. We spent our time going to the mall, cooking family dinners, and going out to the shooting range. I had lots of fun and i can't wait to visit them again so we can have even more fun.

2) My resolutions for the new year are to do my best with finishing out the school year and moving on to college and meeting tons of new friends.

3) I am definetly looking forward to graduating and moving forward with my education.
