Photo Manipulation and Ethics

1)
A. Summarize the main points of the story in 1-4 sentences.
Many photographers have been busted for photoshopping many different images. They try to change the photos to make them look better, but instead they end up making noticable mistakes that many people are able to point out. Many photographers have gotten fired from doing this and all of there photos have been removed from the web.

B. Explain why you think this type of photo editing is unethical or acceptable.
Photo Editing is unethical because many of these people were not given permission to edit stuff out or add stuff in to the photo. They went behind what the real story of the photo was and made it fake. By adding something into a photo you are changing the story of what really happened and you are sending out false information that people are infering from the photos.

2)
A. This photo is very unethical because they took operas head and put it on another woman's body. They are basically saying that they didn't like the way operas body looked therefore they decided to put someone else that had a better looking body. They didn't ask her for her permission at all. They just decided that it wouldn't be noticable and nobody would ever find out.

B. This photo was the most ethical because all they did was put the pyramids a tad bit closer together to help the cover look better. They didn't mess with anyones body or face, they corrected something small and that was it. It still isn't okay that they're doing this but out of all the other photos this was the only one that didn't have a person's body of face photoshopped.
